About Freelancer
Australian based in Europe working in the EST, PST and CET time zones.
Throughout my 15+ years of industry experience, I have consistently demonstrated my ability to independently manage multiple intense and highly fast paced projects, deliver high-quality work well ahead of deadlines, and create in any art style imaginable (all the while working remotely).
Before transitioning into the gaming industry, I had a long and prosperous career in the advertising sector creating art in the form of illustrations, concept design, storyboards and animations for global brands including Microsoft, Lexus, Audi, Samsung, LâOréal, Westfield, and Airbnb to name just a few. Since making the transition into games, I have already worked on 8 games including one shipped title on Steam (with another title coming out this summer).Â
My accomplished fine art background as an award winning portrait painter and figurative artist across 3 continents also positions me as a world-class creative. Over the last 8 months alone I have received 9 awards for my artistic excellence in North America as well as several notable recognitions in Europe including a Certificate of Artistic Achievement in the prestigious annual Luxembourg Art Prize. I have also won awards in New York for my fine art and figurative portrait paintings. These accolades affirm my commitment to excellence and my ability to produce work that resonates on a global scale.
In my current Art Leadership roles as Principal 2D Lead Artist at Digital Hazard Studio and Principal 2D Lead, (Fine Artist & Art Director) at Nocturne Manor game, I manage absolutely all aspects of 2D art production on my own. This includes everything from initial concept sketches to fully rendered illustrations for marketing. I work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all aspects of the projects align with the overall creative vision and deliver consistently exceptional work ahead of deadline.
Some of my notable art projects include creating the concept art for Australiaâs multi billion dollar Barangaroo Development project in Sydney City, creating the concept visual for Diablo IVâs global game release launch event in LA, illustrating the front cover art of Australia and New Zealandâs leading car magazine Wheels, and designing all heroes, enemies, environments and props for several unreleased video games.
I am also an incredibly fast learner and whatever I donât know yet, Iâll master quickly. For example, at the beginning of this year and with zero programming experience, I began learning Unreal Engine 5 and now I am nearly finished with a playable game demo of a third person shooter I developed entirely solo.
